Direct Recovery Services won't stop calling me—what are my rights here? (13 views)

3 Jul 2025 22:22

Hey everyone, I could use some advice. For the past month, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from a company called Direct Recovery Services. They keep asking me to pay a debt I’m not even sure is real. The reps are pushy and rude, and when I asked for proof in writing, they dodged the question completely. Some days I get multiple calls, even outside normal hours.

I did some research and found that I’m not the only one dealing with this. Turns out this kind of Direct Recovery Services debt collection harassment is a pattern. I stumbled across this guide on how to handle them, and it opened my eyes to a few rights I didn’t even know I had.

Has anyone here actually gotten them to stop? Did you have to send a cease or go through an attorney? I don’t want this to drag on forever. Would love to hear how others have dealt with it.
